Steam Cleaning and Pressure Washing
Vertex’s highly experienced heritage department undertake low pressure steam cleaning for high level building elements. By combining our thorough knowledge of industrial rope access and historic building conservation, we pride ourselves on delivering safe, cost effective and high quality specialist cleaning services.
Soiled fragile and historically significant building materials require a sensitive and expert approach to cleaning without causing damage. Vertex’s low pressure steam cleaning machinery and our specially trained operatives ensure that the best result are achieved ever time our DOFF or TORIK are used.
Wherever low pressure systems are not suitable to remove soiling from more robust substrates, Vertex also operate a number of high pressure abrasive water cleaning systems (industrial pressure washers) used by our competent and qualified personnel.
We help our clients remove the following substances:
Masonry and stonework soling and algae deposits
Bird and vermin guano
Our systems have been used extensively to clean and prepare defective roof and structural surfaces during some of our coating remediation projects, including:
Asbestos roof sheet preparation for over coating, in line with UKATA B standards - Torik System
Removal of algae deposits from Grade1 Listed Buildings - DOFF System
Box gutter surface preparation and relining - Industrial Pressure Washer
Moss removal from concrete and terracotta roof tiles - Torik System
Cement Fibre (Marley Eternits, etc) surface sealant and colour restoration - DOFF System
Concrete surface cleaning prior to protective coating application - Industrial Pressure Washer
